46 Conference
Russel Skop, ACG - President and Anna Grier, ACG - Area Governor both attended the 2010 Spring District 46 Conference
on May 8, 2010 at Columbia University, on 116th STreet. They participated in the Parade of Banners, voted at the business
meeting, enjoyed meals with fellow Toastmasters, and heard keynote speaker David Brooks - the 2009 International Speech Contest
winner! Our Club President, Russell Skop, stated how much he enjoyed Mr. Brooks' speech about climbing the ladder to
success, as an accomplished public speaker. Russell Skop and Anna Grier, both ACG (Advanced Communicator - Gold), are
currently working on achieving their DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) goals. Our Club is very proud of you both!!

us on JUNE 24,2010 from 1PM - 2:30pm as we induct NYHarbor's new Club Officers. John Gentile,
CC - President, Beatrice Smith, ACG - VP of Education, Marcia McLean - VP of Membership, Russell
Skop, ACG - Treasurer, Joanne Fang - VP of Public Relations, Anna Grier, ACG - Secretary. NYHarbor
Club officers will take an oath to support all new members in reaching their goals via the Toastmasters
manuals. Fellowship and refreshments afterwards.

aboard the Spirit of New York on June 25th. Enjoy dinner, music, and dancing with the spectacular scenery of Manhattan

U.S. Armed
Forces
NY Harbor Toastmasters is very fortunate to
be hosted by the New York Harbor Healthcare System (Veterans Administration-Medical Center in Manhattan).
We hold open meetings, however, many of our members are either veterans or employees of the VA Medical Center. We would
like to acknowledge how greatful we are to all the men and women in the U.S. armed services, veterans, and their families.
We are inspired and honored by your bravery and sacrafices.
