2010 International Speech

and Evaluation Contests - Club Level

NY Harbor Toastmasters Club #4609 International Speech and Evaluation Contests will be held on February 11, 2010. The contest will be held in 2N Conference Room from 12n00n - 130pm at the VA Medical Center.  The contests are always interesting, educational, and exciting.  Come and listen to our participants President Russell Skop, Treasurer Bea Smith, Secretary Dawn Wright, and VP of Public Relations John Gentile.

A special thank you to all participants for taking the extra step in participating in the contests; which in turn helps our Club grow.  You all are winners!

 

Area 45 International Speech and 

Evaluations Contest - 2010

On the evening of March 18th (6-8pm), NYHarbor Toastmasters winners will participate in the Area 45 International Speech and Evaluation Contests at the Veterans Hospital (423 E.23rd St. - corner of First Avenue in the Atrium - Ground Floor).

 

Please join us in supporting the winners of our club contest, Dawn Wright (Intn'l. speech) and Beatrice Smith (evaluations).  NYHarbor's President, Russell Skop, reached the District contest last time!!  - Congratulations!

NYHarbor Induction Ceremony

 

Join us on January 14th from 12noon - 1:30pm as we welcome SEVEN new members into our NYHarbor Club. They were Irene Pastore, Guomiao Shen, Stephen Konyha, Kenneth Stewart, Joanna Fang, and Sandra Grasby.  Members will be sworn in and NYHarbor Club takes an oath to support all new members in reaching their goals via the Toastmasters manuals.  Fellowship and refreshments afterwards.

African-American Heritage

 

 

NYHarbor Toastmasters Club celebrates Black History Month and the diversity of our Club members.  Join us in honoring the contributions to music, theatre, literature, civil rights, etc. made by our nation's rich African American people, culture, and history.

Area 44 International Speech & Evaluation Contests

NY Harbor Toastmasters Club #4609 winners will participate in the Toastmasters District 46 International Speech and Evaluation Contests on Thursday - March 18, 2010 @ 6pm at the Veterans Hospital (423 E.23rd St. - corner of First Ave.).  Details can be viewed on  www.toastmasters46.org.

District 46 Spring Conference

District 46 scheduled the Spring 2010 Toastmasters Conference for Saturday -May 8, 2010.  It is being held at Columbia University Faculty House - 64 Morningside Drive Ny NY 10027.  Details and registration are available on the following website:  www.toastmasters46.org. 

Attend workshops on improving you public speaking and leadership skills, listen to champion public speakers, network and meet fellow Toastmasters, and enjoy the parade of banners and great food.

NY Harbor Toastmasters is very fortunate to be hosted by the  New York Harbor Healthcare System (Veterans Administration-Medical Center in Manhattan).  We hold open meetings, however, many of our members are either veterans or employees of the VA Medical Center.  We would like to acknowledge how greatful we are to all the men and women in the U.S. armed services, veterans, and their families.  We are inspired and honored by your bravery and sacrafices.
